shine bright like a diamond...

this morning i inhaled, what felt like, an entire disc of face powder. 

it was awesome...and by awesome i mean it sucked real bad.

this week has been tough...for many reasons unrelated to the condition of my sinus cavity 

finally today, i dug deep, looking past all the obvious pooey things going on, and i realized the heart of all my doom and gloom.
 i haven't seen the sun...or my people for days, and my heart is sad for it. 

 oh, how we laughed, and laughed, and laughed over the holidays. it was perfect, and lovely and priceless....i miss it, and i want it back...

ice-ice baby...

our christmas eve {afternoon} was spent on the ice....it was totally baller!
we walked away with only a few minor injuries, including one or two wounded egos.

run, run as fast as you can...

we're having loads of fun here in the idaho

so much fun, i let sister michelle talk me into running a little christmas race

ok, who am i kidding?...i walked the entire 2.5miles

and twinkle toed my way across the finish line

we had a blast, only froze a little, and, as gg said "we couldn't believe there were that many christmas costumes"...and its true, even i was highly impressed with the finery!!!

it's been well over a year 

since i have see this white stuff 

they call snow

what a better way to celebrate then to channel a little

I ran away from h-town...until the holidays are over. mom had no idea i was coming

it was a christmas.

this past weekend i headed to boise 

for a visit with my people 

and to see my beautiful niece, anna, baptized 

 my rock star sister, sarah, came bearing gifts... 

RED VINES...5lbs worth (among other things) 

we enjoyed them thoroughly... 

...poolside

it was happiness on earth

   

smile...

though your heart is aching

for the past couple of days

i have been looking at the last pictures dad took

and 

for the first time in my life

i have looked---and pondered images

from the photographers point of view

what must have dad been thinking to see us all run and flutter about him?

how he must have longed to chase after the grand kids

to throw them in the air

to dance, to play, to move without pain or struggle

oh, i long for the day when i will be able two-step with my daddy

i miss him something fierce

but his life, his love, and his spirit continue

in our hearts, our minds, and our smiles
