weekend project:

sweater slipcover D.I.Y.

i saw sweater pillow slipcovers a while ago online somewhere

and, as i do, i wanted to replicate my own

mind you, it will probably be 100 degrees next week,

and i won't want to see a sweater for miles

BUT

they were very inexpensive ($2.50 for the pillows--IKEA, -1$ for the sweaters--LONELY HEART'S)

AND

they came together very quickly {in, like, less than an hour--quickly, yo!}

***as an added bonus, i like the way the little one looks like it has lips :)

last month

i devoted a lot of time in search of the perfect frame mats for my new pad

a lot of searching that did not prove fruitful

so, as i do, i took matters into my own hands

hat's off to 2011's 1st D.I.Y.

1) items needed: spray adhesive, tissue paper (loving' all things paperchase these days), razor or exactor knife, & a frame mat

2) spray light layer of adhesive on mat (i chose to do mine on the back just in case i change my mind some day and want to use the original mat again)

smooth wrong side of tissue paper on adhesive side of mat

3) using razor, cut out open spaces

4)voila! frame it up!!!

it's as easy as 1-2-3
