don't pass out from surprise...its true
i just totally missed my FOREIGNER peeps and had to see the show...AGAIN
it was great...such a fun show

i opened a little show called I AM BARBIE last night (a world premier even!)
kinda the most enjoyable show i've done in a while
i mean who wouldn't love putting american pop culture icons like BARBIE, KEN, GIJOE, SheRa, and SKIPPER on stage
fun-fun times!

here are a few shots from tech

p.s. this dickie business was pretty brilliant
ken getting dressed on stage is one of the costume highlights for sure!

if you'll remember, i had no clue what to wear that day
this ensemble is not super exciting BUT
this is what i wore...
Photobucket
i was pretty much a walking target campaign as everything but the jacket is from that place

smeared black ink...

one of the things
i love most about h-town
is the great cultural diversity here in the city
so when asked to be part of the creative team for
HGOs Song of Houston: East + West
it was a complete--no brainer!
Photobucket
in fact
Song of Houston: The Refuge
was one of the last shows i worked on at HGO
many years ago
and, i feel very fortunate to be part of such a wonderful on-going project

here's a sneek peek at the costume design:
