chapel

i've been a bad citizen of the arts here in houston

i've lived here for over 5 years

and just today went to visit part of the Menil collection 

in fact, i hadn't heard of the {rothko chapel} until recently

it really is a beautiful space to

meditate

reflect

and contemplate

life & art

in general

worth the trip if you are in the area

my words they pour like children to the playground...

you make me smile

There is nothing like an afternoon

among the animals!

...especial when it is free

the houston zoo has a special every 1st tuesday of the month

entrance into the park after 2pm costs ya nada people! 

after a tough morning of work

we decided to join the animals for our noon-time break

{fear not, this rhino is NOT for reals}

kendahl convinced me to go on the merry-go-round

it was fun

...in the end ;)

...also, that nice elephant offered to hold our handbags while we rode

such chivalry! 

rest assured:

those are leggings people...no young children were flashed during this, or an other ride at the zoo that day

oh, we had a good time
