WHAT DO YOU LOVE MOST ABOUT WHAT YOU DO?
i often ask myself
WHY DO I DO THIS?
(especially after a really hectic tech week)
but i will never forget the first time i saw costumes that i had toiled over come out on stage. the feeling of seeing your work under the stage lights is so rewarding, and knowing that hundreds of people can see and appreciate what you do is the best part about working in theatre. the stress and the hard work just seem to melt away as you sit back and enjoy the true beauty of design, collaboration, and the theatrical experience as a whole.
this week i was given one of the best gifts i could have ever been given
i was reminded all over again why i love what i do

she teaches 5th grade at Smith Elementary 
upon finding out that the 4th graders at her school would be traveling to MAIN STREET THEATRE to see SIDEWAYS STORIES FROM WAYSIDE SCHOOL,
she informed them that her BESTIE ME designed the costumes
