if only i had a dime for every time someone told me i should be on project runway
i maintain that i would much rather go to the dentist everyday
not that i don't like the show, in fact, i die for it, BUT there is no way i could handle the pressure nor would i want to try
pretty ironic since sometimes my life feels like one design challenge after another
THREEPENNY DESIGN CHALLENGE:
find new LUCY ensemble for 2nd dress rehearsal
following guidelines:
1)20's-ish silhouette
2)capability to fit a pregnant belly
3)look amazing with and without said pregnant belly
4)certain amount of sauciness
5)color pallet:metallic
6)budget: as cheap as humanly possible
7)time alloted:10hrs
aaaaaand.....................GO
and go i did to The Woodlands Mall
i looked high and low and finally couldn't believe my luck when i stepped into
ok, so i didn't exactly find a dress but here is where the magic happens
(i bet you didn't know i create magic)
1 metallic flounce tank + 1 metallic flounce tank = 1 metallic flounce LUCY dress
add some new tights and accessories and
voila
design challenge success
yes this does mean THREEPENNY opened....thank goodness
i couldn't have been happier with the overall outcome of the show
